Product: Engine Wash Cart (Prototype)
Application: Virgin Airlines – Aircrafts
Sectors: Aviation; Commercial
Location: Sydney Airport, New South Wales
Milo Steel built the engine wash cart for Virgin Airlines’ ATR aircraft. The project required telescopic assemblies and polycarbonate sheeting. Telescoping assemblies are applied when the width of the structure is not definite and the tubing or piping has to be adjusted to accommodate the changes. Polycarbonate sheeting, on the other hand, is a transparent thermoplastic sheet that is durable and resistant to impact and water damages. The wash cart also has an aluminium pan, data plate, and placard. All steel welding is done in accordance with AS1554 while the aluminium welding is compliant with AS1665. The structural parts are finished with white powder coating.
