The structure is made in accordance with AS/NZS3679.1 for steel flats and hot rolled sections, AS/NZS 3678-2011 for steel plates, and AS/NZS1163 for hollow sections. Moreover, the steelworks and bolts used are hot-dip galvanised to protect from wear and tear. Nylon washers, bushes, and HDPE gaskets are used to separate stainless steel and aluminium from mild steel. The structural fabrication for the davit arm is in compliance with MRTS78 and the welds to AS/NZS 1554.1.
